Billing Errors

These are the billing-related errors that can appear when starting checkout, opening the billing portal, or loading subscription details.

Checkout Errors

"Too many checkout attempts. Please wait before trying again."

What happened: Too many upgrade attempts were made in a short period. What to do: Wait a moment and try checkout again.

"Forbidden"

What happened: The current account is not allowed to manage billing for that server. What to do: Sign in with a server admin account or ask a server admin to handle billing.

"Guild not found"

What happened: Nexcord could not find the selected server in billing. What to do: Return to the dashboard, reopen the server, and try again. If the server is missing, relink it first.

"Already on Pro plan"

What happened: The server already has an active Pro subscription. What to do: Open the billing portal instead of starting a new checkout.

"Failed to start checkout"

What happened: The dashboard could not create a new checkout session. What to do: Try again after refreshing the page.

"Payment system failed to load. Please refresh and try again."

What happened: The checkout session was created, but the payment widget did not load in the browser. What to do: Refresh the page and try again. If browser extensions block payment scripts, disable them for the checkout page.

"An unexpected error occurred. Please try again."

What happened: Checkout failed for a general reason that was not mapped to a more specific billing message. What to do: Refresh the page and try checkout again once.

Billing Portal Errors

"Too many portal requests. Please wait before trying again."

What happened: The billing portal was requested too many times in a short period. What to do: Wait a moment and try opening the billing portal again.

"No billing account found"

What happened: Nexcord could not find a billing account for that server. What to do: Make sure the server has already started a subscription or trial before opening the portal.

"Failed to create portal session"

What happened: Nexcord could not generate a billing portal session. What to do: Try again after refreshing the page. If it keeps failing, try again later.

"Failed to open billing portal. Please try again."

What happened: The dashboard could not open the portal URL returned by the billing API. What to do: Refresh the page and try the Manage button again.

Billing Page Errors

"Failed to load billing information."

What happened: The billing page could not load the current plan or subscription details. What to do: Refresh the page and try again. If you recently changed servers or lost access, confirm you are still a server admin.
