Auto-roles
Auto-roles automatically assigns one or more roles to members when they join your server.
How it works
Auto-roles is smart enough to respect your verification configuration:
If verification is enabled on your server:
- Member joins
- Member completes verification at nexcord.app/verify
- Verified role is assigned
- Auto-roles are assigned immediately after
If verification is disabled on your server:
- Member joins
- Auto-roles are assigned immediately
Setting up Auto-roles
- Go to your server dashboard at nexcord.app/dashboard
- Select your server
- Navigate to Members → Auto-roles
- Enable the toggle
- Select up to 10 roles from your server's role list
- Click Save
Role hierarchy
Nexcord can only assign roles that are below the Nexcord bot role in your server's role hierarchy.
To fix: go to Server Settings → Roles and drag the Nexcord bot role above any roles you want to auto-assign.

Auto-roles is available on all plans — Free and Pro.
