When enabled, Nexcord can generate high-level summaries of transcript content so admins can review the main points faster.

AI summarization is useful when:

  • Staff channels move too quickly to review manually.
  • You need an overview before opening the full transcript.
  • You want to track notable discussion outcomes over time.

This feature is managed alongside the transcript settings in the dashboard. Some servers also use image-aware summarization features where supported.

Good operational guidelines

  • Keep watched channels intentional so summaries stay relevant.
  • Use transcript generation for audit logs and AI summaries for quick review.
  • Review the raw transcript for moderation or policy-sensitive decisions.

When not to rely on summaries alone

Summaries are a convenience layer. They are not a substitute for reading the full transcript when accuracy matters.
